SAFE ALARM TRIGGERING. The 'hands up' gesture allows front-line workers to safely raise an alarm when under threat.
Violence, aggression and threatening behaviour towards front-line workers is on the increase. This video clip shows how our latest Neural Analytics can be used to detect hand positions, such as the 'hands up' gesture. It allows a member of staff who is under threat to raise an alarm safely, without drawing attention to themselves or putting themselves in danger by pressing a physical button. System operators can then respond appropriately, in real time.
'Hands up' is a legitimate response to a threat situation, such as a robbery. It does not raise the perpetrator's suspicion. We are developing many other hand movement analytics for 'safe alarm' triggering to protect staff in the work place.
